为帮助家长更深入地了解学校的教学方法及如何在家中支持孩子的学习，我校于近期举办了家长工作坊。活动包含三场简短讲座，每场约20至30分钟，并全程鼓励家长积极参与、随时提问。
The school recently held a Parents’ Workshop to help families better understand the learning approaches used in school and how they can support their children at home. The session included three short presentations, each lasting about 20–30 minutes, and encouraged active parent participation and questions throughout.
在“更深入理解IB课程” 讲座中，Emma老师向家长们介绍了学校的使命与愿景，阐述了IB框架如何与中国义务教育体系相融合。她还分享了六大超学科主题的来源、各年级的组织方式，以及一个探究单元的基本构成。
A Better Understanding of the IB, presented by Ms. Emma, introduced parents to the school’s mission and vision and explained how the IB framework is integrated with China’s Compulsory Education System. She also shared where the six transdisciplinary themes come from, how they are organized across grade levels, and what makes up a Unit of Inquiry.
在“评估的类型” 讲座中，Sarah老师说明了学生评估的内容与方式，并强调了家长在支持孩子学习与成长过程中的重要作用。
In Types of Assessments, Ms. Sarah explained what students are assessed on, how assessments are carried out, and the important role parents play in supporting their child’s learning and progress.
最后一场讲座“阅读的五项核心技能” 由Rosalyn老师主讲，聚焦音素意识、自然拼读、词汇、阅读流畅度及阅读理解。家长们了解到这些技能如何共同作用以培养优秀的阅读者，以及如何在家庭环境中提供有效支持。
The final session, “The Five Essential Skills of Reading,” led by Ms. Rosalyn, focused on phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, reading fluency, and reading comprehension. Parents learned how these skills work together to build strong readers and how they can help at home.
本次工作坊为家长提供了一个宝贵的机会，不仅厘清了疑问，也进一步深化了家校合作关系。
The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for parents to gain clarity, ask questions, and strengthen their partnership with the school.
