A Warm Welcome
转盘每次转动,都伴随着孩子们惊喜的呼声。小手轻轻一拨,指针飞快旋转,每一份小礼物都让孩子们欢呼雀跃,简单的快乐,是开学第一天最美好的打开方式。
To mark the start of the semester, students gathered around a welcome activity featuring a spinning prize wheel. With each turn, the pointer spun quickly before settling on small rewards that were met with laughter and cheers.








这场别开生面的转盘活动,让大家在轻松愉快的氛围中重拾同窗情谊,自然而然地过渡到新学期的学习节奏中。
The activity offered a relaxed and enjoyable way for students to reconnect with classmates and ease back into the school routine.

转盘的欢笑声渐渐远去,教室里的学习时光悄然开启。开学第一天,孩子们迅速进入了状态。
Soon after the morning welcome activities, classrooms returned to their regular rhythm. Students settled in quickly and began the first lessons of the semester.
在学前部,全英文的浸润环境中,孩子们围坐在一起,听老师讲着新学期的第一个故事。小手举起,眼睛发亮,稚嫩的声音自信地回应着老师的提问——语言,对他们来说不是“学科”,而是探索世界的工具。
In the Early Learning Center, children sat together in a circle as their teacher introduced the first story of the term in an immersive English environment. Students listened attentively and responded enthusiastically, raising their hands to share ideas and answer questions. For many of them, language learning happens naturally through conversation, stories, and interaction.
小学部的课堂上,孩子们带着好奇与专注投入学习。数学课上,老师引导学生在实际生活场景中解决问题、开展合作;语文课上,朗朗的读书声与热烈的讨论声此起彼伏。各个年级的创意课堂同样洋溢着探索的热情。美术课上,孩子们大胆想象、自由创作,用绚丽的色彩和充满童趣的设计表达自我。音乐课上,师生共同探索多元音乐流派及其背后的故事,孩子们凝神聆听、细细品味,在欣赏中思考感悟。
In the primary classrooms, students approached their lessons with curiosity and focus. Mathematics classes encouraged problem-solving and collaboration through real-world scenarios, while Chinese language lessons filled the classrooms with the sound of reading and discussion.Across the primary school, the spirit of inquiry was equally vibrant in creative subjects. In art class, students imagined, created, and expressed themselves through vibrant colors and imaginative designs. In music class, they explored different genres and the stories behind them, listening closely and reflecting on what they heard with focused attention.
没有“假期综合症”,只有对新知识的渴望和对学习的热爱。
There was no sign of the “post-holiday blues”—only a clear enthusiasm for discovery and a renewed love of learning.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

At Nanchang International School, learning extends beyond academic lessons and into everyday routines.
食堂里,同学们自觉排队、有序取餐,与伙伴共享愉快的用餐时光。在这样平常而温馨的互动中,孩子们学习着独立与合作;图书馆里,孩子们静心阅读,轻翻书页,文明阅读的习惯早已内化于心;操场上,体育课的欢笑声此起彼伏,奔跑、跳跃、协作——身体和心灵一同舒展。
In the library, students could be found reading quietly, turning pages with care. Over time, thoughtful reading habits have become a natural part of their daily routines.In the cafeteria, students lined up respectfully and shared meals with their classmates, practicing independence and cooperation in small but meaningful ways.On the playground, physical education classes filled the space with laughter and movement as students ran, jumped, practiced new skills, and worked together in games and activities. Bodies and minds were equally active as students learned the value of teamwork, perseverance, and healthy activity.

小学部 ESL 支持课程全新启航
Introducing ESL Support in Primary School
本学期起,小学部正式开设 ESL(英语作为第二语言)专项课程,以更有针对性地支持不同英语学习需求的同学们。
Beginning this semester, the primary school is introducing dedicated ESL (English as a Second Language) classes to better support students with different language learning needs.
ESL 课程专为正在英语语言发展阶段的同学设计,聚焦听、说、读、写四大核心技能的培养,帮助孩子们在日常课堂学习中更加自信地参与其中。通过精准的教学指导、小班化的支持模式以及系统的语言训练,ESL 课程为同学们提供切实有效的工具,助力他们提升沟通能力,更好地融入全英文的学习环境。
ESL classes are designed to help students who are still developing their English proficiency. These lessons focus on building core language skills—including listening, speaking, reading, and writing—so that students can participate confidently in their regular classroom learning.Through targeted instruction, small-group support, and structured language practice, ESL classes provide students with the tools they need to strengthen their communication skills and engage more fully in an English-medium learning environment.
