Pajama Day|一场温馨的阅读庆典

上周,南昌国际学校迎来了备受喜爱的“睡衣日”活动。这一天,整个PYP学部齐聚一堂,共同享受阅读带来的奇妙时光。同学们穿上最舒适的睡衣,沉浸于世界多元文化的故事中。在睡衣日,我们体会到,阅读可以如此惬意,又如此充满探索的惊喜。

Last week, NCIS celebrated Pajama Day, a much-loved event that brought our whole PYP community together to enjoy the magic of reading. On this special day, students wore their comfiest pajamas and spent time exploring stories from many different cultures around the world. Pajama Day reminded us that reading can be relaxing, enjoyable, and full of discovery.

 

 

整日活动中,学生们参与的环节都呼应了PYP的核心理念——探究、国际视野与行动实践。通过阅读来自不同国家的书籍,学习者有机会提出问题、比较文化差异,并发现书中人物生活与自身经历的异同。这些体验帮助学生成长为胸襟开阔、知识渊博、充满好奇的学习者,这也正是IB学习者培养目标中的重要特质。

Throughout the day, students took part in activities that supported key PYP ideas, such as inquiry, international mindedness, and taking action. By opening books from different countries, learners had the chance to ask questions, compare cultures, and notice similarities and differences between their own lives and the lives of characters. These experiences helped students grow as open-minded, knowledgeable, and curious learners—important attributes of the IB Learner Profile.

 

 

老师们在教室里布置了温馨的阅读角,学生惬意地蜷缩在角落,与伙伴共读一本好书,或聆听老师朗读故事。这些共享的时光不仅增强了学生的自信心与沟通能力,也营造了浓厚的归属感。孩子们体会到,阅读可以是一种宁静的交流方式,故事的力量足以将人们紧密相连。

Teachers created cozy reading spaces in the classroom, inviting students to curl up with a good book, read with a partner, or enjoy a story read aloud. These shared moments built confidence, communication skills, and a sense of belonging. Students learned that reading can be a peaceful way to connect with others, and that stories have the power to bring people together.

 

 

睡衣日也通过“以书会友”的方式,增进了师生之间的情谊。学生们从家中带来最喜爱的绘本,向朋友推荐新发现的故事,畅谈那些激励他们的角色。这些交流正体现了PYP的理念:每个人都拥有值得分享的宝贵见解。

Pajama Day also strengthened our school community by giving students and teachers a chance to bond over books they loved. Learners shared favorite picture books from home, recommended new stories to friends, and talked about characters that inspired them. These conversations highlighted the PYP belief that everyone has something valuable to contribute.

 

 

最重要的是,睡衣日激发了学生们持续阅读的热情。许多孩子将这份快乐带回家中,与家人分享故事,让阅读成为日常生活的一部分。这也呼应了我们的教育初衷:帮助孩子培养终身阅读的习惯。

Most importantly, Pajama Day encouraged students to continue reading outside of school. After experiencing how enjoyable reading can be, many learners took that excitement home, shared stories with their families, and chose books as part of their everyday lives. This supported our goal of helping children develop a lifelong love of reading.

 

 

睡衣日不仅仅是一场有趣的活动,更是一场庆祝想象力、情感联结与阅读乐趣的美好庆典。

Pajama Day was more than just a fun event—it was a celebration of imagination, connection, and the joy of learning through stories.
