Students were introduced to 2-part singing using Curwen hand signs, a method developed by Zoltán Kodály to build musical skills through physical movement and ear training. Divided into two groups, students mirrored the hand signs representing the Major pentatonic scale, focusing on pitch and harmony. This hands-on approach, supported by modern music education techniques, emphasizes experiential learning and helps students develop a deep, intuitive understanding of music. We are proud of their focus and the beautiful harmony they created!

As part of their unit on Rights and Responsibilities, students had the privilege of welcoming some guest speakers from the “Jiangxi Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.” The students were excited to showcase their knowledge on the central idea: Rights and responsibilities are reflected in how people govern themselves.
